All casino games are games of chance and as such you are relying on luck to win. Though you may reduce the odds against you by good sound casino playing, eventually it still boils down to luck.

Thus it's not surprising that numerous superstitions and myths circulate around the casino circuit. Amazingly, because they are common, some casino players have begun to believe them to be true

1. If you are new to gambling, you won't lose your first time around.
2. You cannot lose if you are gambling with money you borrowed from someone else.
3. For good luck, some casino players carry a lucky charm such as a four-leaf clover, a coin with a hole in it, a lock of hair or a horseshoe.
4. It's also considered good luck to touch your favorite card with your index card.
5. Seen pretty woman standing besides gamblers at a casino? Yes, this is also considered a sign of good luck.
6. Sitting on a handkerchief or sitting on a chair with the legs wide apart are also considered good luck charms.
7. On the other hand, it's bad luck to lend money to a casino opponent.
8. And you shouldn't have a dog in the room.
9. It's a bad omen if you receive the four of clubs or the nine of diamonds especially in the first hand.

20. For good luck, sprinkle some salt on the casino machines.
21. For hot streaks, use your hair dryer to heat up your coins.
