26/01/2003 Remote gaming patent approved
This week Kenilworth Systems Corporation announced that their patent application for "system and method for remote roulette and other game play using game table at a casino" had been approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Offices. Completely wireless, Kenilworth promises to deliver live in-progress table game action to TV set top boxes, television cable providers, PC's and Roulabette terminals without any form of wire communication. The company plans to supply the one-way digital satellite transmission to jurisdictions that allow online gambling. Although Roulabette is not considered as gaming over the Internet in the United States, Kenilworth proposes that players open prepaid accounts primarily at lottery terminal locations, using cash only, in compliance with US federal legislation
